TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) is a white, reflective single-ply membrane. EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) is a durable synthetic rubber membrane with flexibility and UV resistance. We install Firestone RubberGard EPDM, and Firestone warrants the installation of this product.

Should I choose TPO or EPDM?
Both are good options for a low-slope roof. TPO has a white, reflective surface, and EPDM is a flexible synthetic rubber. We can recommend the right membrane after evaluating your roof.
Can a new membrane go over the existing roof?
Sometimes, if the existing roof is dry and in good condition and local code allows it. Wet insulation needs to be removed first. We can tell you which option fits your building after evaluating the roof.
