Roof Insurance Claims in Fort Worth, TX
Help with your roof insurance claim, from the free inspection to reviewing your settlement offer and presenting any missed items to your insurer.
Most home insurance policies cover sudden and accidental damage to your home. If your roof or exterior is damaged by hail, wind, water intrusion or fallen debris, your policy should cover the cost of repairing it to its pre-loss condition. However, insurance claims are not always simple.
Some policies reduce coverage based on the age of your roof. For example, a policy may pay the full replacement cost while the roof is less than 10 years old and only the depreciated value after that. We highly recommend that every home and business owner read and understand their policy before purchasing coverage.

Our claim procedure has ten steps. We inspect your property at no cost, secure the structure and help you report the claim and list the damaged items. After the field adjuster visits and your insurer makes an initial settlement offer, we review that offer with you to see whether it includes all of the materials, labor and costs needed to repair your home.
If anything was missed, we help you present it to your insurer as a supplement. Once the approved scope is clear, we assemble the estimate and begin planning your project, including cost agreements, material selection, the timeline and a start date. Your deductible applies to every settlement.

FAQs
Roof Insurance Claims FAQs
Do I file the claim, or do you?
You report the claim to your insurance company, and they will give you a claim number. We can help you report it if you would like.
What is a roof-age clause?
Some policies pay the full replacement cost only while the roof is under a certain age, often 10 years, and the depreciated value after that. Check your policy or ask your insurance agent whether yours includes one.
What if the adjuster missed damage?
We review your settlement offer with you and compare it to your list of damaged items and your photos. If anything was missed, we help you present it to your insurer as a supplement.
Will you cover my deductible?
No. Texas law requires the homeowner to pay the deductible, and a contractor cannot waive or absorb it. Financing through the Wells Fargo Home Projects credit card program is one way to spread out the cost.
